If you enjoy natural scenery, you are at the right place. I developed this site to share the beauty of the Berkshires, which is located in the western Massachusetts. It's a very scenic place with lots of lakes and mountains (Appalachian Trail). Summer time here is great for hiking, water sports and golfing. Fall is the perfect time to visit here and cherish the colors of the fall. Wintertime is the best for skiing, snowboarding, ice fishing and snowmobile riding.
Some of the places to mention the most are Tanglewood (Home of Boston Symphony Orchestra), Mount Greylock (Highest Point of Massachusetts), Normans Rockwell Museum, Canyon Ranch (Health Spa), Hancock village, and Jacob's pillow etc. The major city is Pittsfield. Other towns are Great Barrington, Lanesborough, Cheshire, Adams, North Adams, and Williamstown etc. Berkshires has some great colleges like Williams College, Berkshire Community College and North Adams Stare College. There are two small airports, one in Pittsfield and other in North Adams. During summer and fall season, they offer scenic plane rides, which are really breathtaking and is once in a lifetime experience.
